Reclaim Your Rise: Type 1 Diabetes with Lauren Bongiorno
57. The Top 5 Things You Need to Know About Your Menstrual Cycle and T1D
Show Notes

Today we are talking about one of my favorite educational topics, the menstrual cycle and its impact on type one diabetes. Female hormonal fluctuations have a huge impact on insulin sensitivity, but most menstruators are not directly taught this about T1D.

In this episode, I’ll discuss:

  • The main differences in women and men’s hormonal makeup and the impact that has on diabetes management.
  • The system I created for myself that has also served as a blueprint for supporting our clients at Risely to understand menstrual cycle and blood sugar connections.
  • The top five things you need to learn to start figuring out how your hormonal patterns are showing up in your diabetes management.

PSA! This episode will not cover PCOS, perimenopause, or menopause. I wanted to keep this episode really central and focused on base-level foundational menstrual information.

We are now enrolling for our Spring  2023 Decide and Conquer Group Coaching Program. If you are curious about the transformation Bridget talks about in this episode, learn more about the DCB and apply HERE.
